So I don't understand how this non-apology is supposed to make anything better because

This is doubling down while trying to have her cake and eat it too. I'm pretty sure most of her fanbase is transphobic so it really doesn't matter anyhow, but to act like she can still be an ally to troons but still take this stance is ridiculous. This is just not an issue that you can be centrist about, JKR hate is the new "orange man bad".
