While you cant exactly pinpoint what kind of design appeals to a certain race, for me what makes Mika so good (and bae) is the use of color
Most jap artists kinda do bad coloring or just dont know how to make them pop

Mika is great at making colors stand, makes use of a lot of bright stuff and as a result her artwork looks interesting, eye catching and vibrant. Latino people tend to love that kind of stuff butthat's because we love those kind of colors
