It's eventually dying down, but only because better games pop-up and dethrone the other and so it goes.
By eventually, I don't mean tomorrow, probably not even this year or two ahead.

I remember some anons saying that the F2P Halo would dethrone Apex but that didn't happen and the game has no traditional BR, only an arena gamemode, which is also very broken currently, the 12 vs 12 gamemode doesn't even load.
Some game news say that a BR x MOBA x Horde x FPS massive gamemode it's being worked on for it but until that happens (6 months up to a year) then yeah, there's currently nothing that could really derail Apex apart from... Warzone... and maybe Fortnite... Yeah, everything's going to stay the same for a while, give it a year or two and hopefully the fad will die.
I hope your Oshi doesn't graduate by then.
