The hololive obsession with numbers is absolutely insane.

They have a little monopoly for themselves, and their #1 priority is to prevent people from finding out about other vtubers they might enjoy more. Nijisanji fans are familiar with who the hololive girls are. But the reverse is not true at all. Hololive fans know almost nothing about nijisanji, or any of the other companies. That's because hololive has a "walled garden" policy, where they refuse collabs with other companies, and deliberately keep their own people in the dark about other companies. This has proven to be very effective, they have thousands of fans who literally don't know anything else.

This monopoly of theirs is enforced through numberfagging. The logic goes: you have lower numbers, that means your stream must be lower quality. Of course, this logic is absolutely retarded, and blatantly not true. As if Sana's pokemon stream comes anywhere near the entertainment value of Selen's $100k tournament.

The thing is, hololive streams are so boring, and so devoid of friendship, the only thing they have to talk about is numbers. So that's all they talk about. Thousands of threads, numbers numbers numbers. Even threads that have nothing to do with numbers inevitably become all about the numbers. Hololive fans are basically these toxic numberfags and tribalfags, acting like complete assholes in order to enforce their monopoly and prevent anyone from checking out other companies. The amount of hololive corporate shilling is unreal. Never seen anything quite like it.

My only advice is to not listen to these people. Check out some other streams once in a while. Often times the Nijisanjis are doing some really entertaining streams, that you're missing out on because of the walled garden. Pic related

Remember, there are hololive-onlies who are busy watching the 100th minecraft stream and missing all of this. It's actually sad.
