I want to be clear, I'm not saying they DID fuck her over. But assume for a second they did. If she exposed it all, what happens? Fans lose trust in the company and the whole thing collapses. Look at what happened to the Bon Appetite youtube, Kizuna Ai, or Game Club Project. Companies like Cover rely HEAVILY on their fans believing they are "a family". All that falls apart if you expose the corporate machinations.
THIS is why we can't know for sure. However if I had to hazard a guess, according to her own post on k-son's community page, she was actually asked to stay, probably with a large sum of money. If anything, her own post implies that she didn't want others to keep getting hate raids and was tired of being clamped down so hard. which is consistent with who she has presented herself to be since before ever joining hololive.
