Good to see things are are getting back to normal and yesterday's incident was just a falseflag. As an unapologetic unityfag, seeing it unfold in real time and not being able to stop it hurt.

As for the trade deal, and looking through what everyone said. Is there a chance we could get magical or super wood from /yeah/? I believe the original trade deal was made before magic was added to the game and the oshis of /yeah/ are a wizard, ghost, bird and the goddess of luck,. I'm pretty sure we can get something magical from their forests.

Let me get the timeline of what happened straight
>Discord chat from NijiEN leaks
>A Niji Anti here uses it as an opportunity to push an attempt to cut ties with any Niji group in the world building thread
>/infinity/ only has a trade deal with /yeah/, so they are targeted.
>They make a poll asking if we should cut ties with /yeah/
>Someone leaks the poll to /yeah/
>A second poll is made.
>That poll is leaked as well.
>Archivebud comes in and declares that /infinity/ is cutting ties with /yeah/ and specific cites his clashes with the one schizo along with leaks.
>/ybc/ then cuts all ties with /∞/ in retaliation.

First, I'm the mapfag who wrote this response to Nuetralfag during the whole island incident >>18899907, so I'm going to remain objective here.
Second, I don't even know where to start, everyone managed to do the wrong thing here and now /∞/'s reputation has been further damaged in a pointless own goal. But I'll try and unpack things by person.

>Niji Anti
In wanting to cut ties with /yeah/, they makes the exact same mistake that Nuetralfag made in their attempt to justify moving our island. How is what NijiEN did relevant to /vt/? This is a world based off of /vt/, meaning the actions of streamers themselves should not influence /infinity/'s relations with other boards. If /yeah/ themselves attacked us, the poll would be justified. But from what I've seen, this is just someone pushing a personal agenda in reaction to real world events and not what has happened here. /infinity/ shouldn't be pushing policy changes on actual events unless another group in game reacts first. And using personal bias to push for policy changes is going to be a huge problem for us if it becomes the standard.

>Poll leaker
If their intention was to help /yeah/, leaking the poll to them, it had the opposite effect since it was used as a justification to cut ties in the end. There's the even bigger issue of just leaking stuff because it's a clear violation of trust among /infinity/. They shouldn't have gone to another thread and go them involved even if it affected them on policy since this was still an internal matter, this in turn dragged the world building thread and made things a lot worse than it should have been. Finally his whole sitution proves polling needs to be completely revamped both in how it's conducted and to stop leaks.

>Archivebud
A sitution like this required a tempered response or at least waiting until cooler heads prevailed to discuss the merits. I'm honestly shocked less that they cut ties, but cited that one schizo who's been a pain in everyone's ass as the main reason. This situation creates a template where people can act like the schizo to get what they want because it shows Achivebud is susceptible, which means there's a chance someone can successfully false flag Archivebud into acting a way they want, and that really worries me. There's also the fact that because polls were rendered invalid by the leak, he choose to make a decision anyway instead of keeping with the status quo.

tl;dr, no one is a good guy in this situation and everyone screwed up. From /ybc/'s reaction, it just makes us look a lot worse, and this is after our reputation wasn't stellar, which will make it even harder for them to accept anything we do. And while the damage is done, we can least try and learn some things out of it.

Suggestions on how to fix what happened.
>Let this situation calm down for a few days or a week
Obvious thing to do since people are capitalizing on real world drama to influence what we do in game.

>Issue a formal apology to /yeah/
This is the bare minimum since after reading /yeah/, they not only did nothing wrong, the poll leaker was from /here/ and they were just roped into /infinity/'s in fighting. They just wanted to be left alone and their thread rep was extremely diplomatic.

>Create a system for how polls are conducted to make them more fair.
The problem I'm seeing with polls now is that they are just posted for one thread and then decided. When it doesn't take into account the population of /infinity/ as a whole (Example, I was asleep when this whole sitution unfolded.) I would suggest any poll be open for at least 24 hours so every major timezone group here can have say, and that includes reposting it in every new thread as well. Not just assuming people will do their reps.
Furthermore, is there a way to make it so that polls can only be responded to by people who post here? That would help at least mitigate the damage from leaks.

>Require the thread rep to adopt a tripcode and interact with /infinity/ first before they take any actions in the world thread
We need to be able to identify who the rep is easily, because I am also worried that if a schizo can influence their actions, what will stop them or anyone else against /infinity/ from masquerading as the thread rep? And it's a given he runs any action by /infinity/ first as well.
