I don't really want to further fuel that discussion, but just in case management is reading this thread.
It's not really a good idea to give full banning permissions to mods in trial (as they're supposed to be). You should spend the first month with them only being able to timeout, giving them the time to report the situation staff/head moderators who can then decide what to do about it, and eventually take the responsibility of their ban.
