I solo'ed the game on Master mode, it's just incredibly tedious, like INCREDIBLY tedious. It's not even fun. It's just Expert (which is not extremely hard apart from the final boss) but with more HP and Damage and the Defense/Armor stat is even fucking stupidier and it's exactly the reason why you never do "Damage - Defense" to calculate damage in every respectable RPG game. The monsters oneshot you but the moment you get some Defense they start dealing absolutely no fucking damage.
The bosses are the only actual fun part as you have to almost no-hit them to beat them, and perfecting them was pretty fun, but it's not worth it at all. Almost all Master rewards are shit, the statues are useless and the only overpowered thing that came out from it got nerfed.
I'm fucking sad Master mode is just "+HP +Damage" and nothing else. I hoped for new attacks, forms and shit like that.
I remember playing Expert mode when it came out and literally got jumpscared by the Eye of Cthulu superdashes.

Don't play Master mode, I did it as a personal challenge but it was more frustrating than anything. Fuck, 1.4 literally ruined the game too with the retarded house shit system and by ruining some fun exploits, like the one I used to get Meteor gear instantly and skip the shit that is the early game.
