I just wanted to butt into the conversation for a moment since the previous bday live is being talked about.
The reason is because I’ve seen a few times over the past few days people say she was kind of hardstuck 30k before the live started. There’s no way I can -exactly- dispute that, but I think anyone who was watching and also saw this graphs knows that it was a very, VERY funky moment.

Basically, Gura had a 29.4k waiting room, recovered it in like 2-3 minutes, and then proceeded to gain a grand total of 1k more viewers past the waiting room over the course of like 20 minutes. I think all of us can agree that makes no sense, for ANY stream, but particularly this stream that was a clear cut Birthday stream coming off a 40k call in and 53k off collab karaoke. It was basically like Youtube putting a complete dead stop to all verification.

I just say this because given what happened, if we don’t want to yell cull then we can probably come to an agreement that there may have been a ton of fuckery with verification and that an influx of people joining may have jumpstarted it because to this day it was an incredibly weird moment seeing a 30k stream turn to a 63k in a matter of like 30 minutes
