You don't "win" in the sense of "defeating the source of the problems." You "win" by surviving and not being actively threatened.
Humanity in WoD is explicitly weak. The only reason that they don't get destroyed by all of these entities running around is that humanity has the one thing that no supernatural creature does:
NUMBERS.
If any of these things, barring the highest level dieties, were to try and outright attack Humanity openly, they would be fucking eviscerated in the streets. Even mages. Humanity together strong, even if weak alone. So the beings of the night lurk in the shadows, and prey on lone humans to be their agents to disrupt the human spirit of unity.
Humans coming together in unity is their strength, their Light. The forces that work to tear humanity apart, use humans to fight one another, and create proxy wars between groups to ensure their own success for nefarious purposes?
Those come from a world without that Light; A World of Darkness.
