First you have to keep in mind that's the vtuber's version of the situation. For all we know, they did indulge in actions that definitely relate to GFE as a way to get viewers more invested and build an audience, and now realize her mistake.
If they came to 4chan to get their audience too, it comes with the package and there is no room for complaint, you get more numbers, but you get those exceptations.

But assuming it's the truth AND they didn't come here, there aren't many possibilities.
- Quitting your boyfriend : it's hard but if you're serious about your vtubing career it's the most efficient, staying single for a few years really isn't a big deal and will leave you more time and overall improve every aspect of vtubing.
- Living separately : your character is single but not you, to have 0 risk of ever breaking that immersion, have a room or better an apartment where only you can enter and where sounds doesn't reach. That way you keep your relationship if for some reason it matters, but you have no risk of ruining it all.
- You try to twist it as being in open relationships, depending on your audience they wouldn't mind as much and would keep the illusion of GFE
- You just say it and take the loss of viewership and especially of donators, and try building back from there, there is no smooth way of bringing it up, it will be hard no matter what

I watch a few vtubers who mention their relationship (mostly artists) and thanksfully it was clear from the start and didn't fool people into thinking it was the regular vtubing rules and expectations coming from how this industry started.

Good luck!
