The only problem is my mom and sister aren't being very clear about the move out date. Mom said June, but she also said she'd fly here three times in two months and hasn't. Maybe if I let her know and leverage my birthday it'll be easier. Will see what I can do

That is tough... I wouldn't want them to feel directionless, so I would be encouraging them to have a lot of hobbies and find communities to enjoy them with. I think I'd honestly allow a year or two of neetdom but would cut off allowance after that, and offer support in helping them try to find a job. I'd allow them to stay at the house for a long time if need be but enforce some rules, from chores to noise levels. Also I'd incentivize studying and coming up with their own business idea(s). I'd try to help them if they wanted to pitch something to me and I thought it could work with some elbow grease. I don't think I'd want my kid to go through something like that if possible so I would avoid letting it happen. But if after all that my kid is like that, I don't know. I'd still love them
