i really need to practice my grammar, i know many individual words but when you put them all in front of me in an actual sentence i don't actually really understand what i'm reading unless the sentence is really simple, so all the nuance is lost to me.

It's fun as hell but it definitely requires either knowing japanese or having a proper translation on the side, you won't get much out of it otherwise unlike the NHK VR radio for instance (for obvious reasons). There's even a channel that "animates" certain bits of that radio too in case you didn't know. I would recommend.

the key in this context is arguably not the issue here for fauna, but you could say it is. a key is a set of notes, and normally songs stick to the notes in a given key because (mostly) any combination of those notes will sound good. going out of that key will more often than not produce an unpleasant or "out of place" sound unless you know what you're doing and do it properly (this is another topic entirely and it goes very deep so let's just leave it at that).

the issue here is that fauna is almost never following the melody correctly and you could say she's not even following a key at all, but rather just going up and down in pitch as she feels like. on top of that, she has trouble holding a note without starting to wander up or down in pitch, adding to the "out of place"ness. so when people say fauna is not on key, in this case they most likely mean she's not actually following the melody as it is in the original.

KJ here. Well! It's not like I had any particular hope my design would get found when I made it anyway, even back in 2020. But like >>43124539 said it's just a coincidence and they probably had Moona's in the works for a while. Back to the drawing board I suppose!
I can /maybe/ throw up a new design near the end of Suichan's break if I don't get too busy. Any suggestions? I'm thinking maybe leaning more towards a rabbit or some sort of creature motif this time since she seems to like those.
