It's mostly fleshnigger angst that's the source of the "anti-parasocial" philosophy, because they inadvertently gave up their entire lives to their audience. Their face, their name, their address, their soul. They made their real life selves the protagonist of their stream, so when the streamer's audience begins to grow more attached to them (as the human brain is wired to do), the streamer grows to resent them. VTubers who grew up in fleshnigger colonies (i.e. VShojo) also share this philosophy, despite having the tools and the forethought to separate their soul, their real selves, from their audience. VTubers who grew independently of these influences, for example as viewers of Hololive/Nijisanji or ASMRtists or wherever else, these chuubas aren't conditioned to reject that connection.

Alright /lig/gers, now that all of the commotion is over I have a proposition for you. But first, I'd like to say that I had a lot of fun putting together Saruei's birthday card with you all. Although the delivery may not have transpired how some of us would have liked it to, we still created a funny, heartfelt present for one of our cherished chuubas that, without a doubt, she will see.

We handled ourselves pretty well during this spur-of-the-moment project, but in the future I think we can do better, come more prepared. And in order to help us accomplish this, I propose: The OFFICIAL /lig/ Chuuba Birthday Calendar, a custom-made digital calendar to keep track of the birthdays for all of the chuubas we know, love, and hate. With this in the OP, we will know much farther in advance when a chuuba's birthday is coming up, allowing us to prepare better cards and become privy to whatever a chuuba's Discord may be planning for her, so that we can adjust our own approach accordingly. These "Canva" "Designs" appear to be highly customizable, allowing us to unleash the full brunt of our autism with whatever information, shitposts, OC, videos, and music we want. I added a few random bits and bobs to the first couple pages in order to demonstrate some of what is possible with this technology, but of course none of it is final and can be tweaked to the satisfaction of the thread. You can view the calendar using this link, which will automatically update with any changes I make.

I've shown my hand, and now there's a couple things I'd like to hear from you, fellow /lig/gers:
>Editing permissions
As of right now, I am the only one that can make edits to the calendar, but anyone who makes an account can be added to my "Team" and granted access to edit the calendar or just leave comments. I wanted to hear people's opinions on what the editing permissions should be. I think it'd be fun to allow anyone in the thread the ability to work on the calendar, but I've made powerpoint presentations with /b/ before and I know how out-of-hand projects like this can become. In the end we still want a usable product.
>Finding chuuba's birthdays
I'm no loremaster, I don't know every single chuuba the thread cares about or what their birthdays are. So I would need your help to find the information to fill out the calendar for every single /lig/ chuuba we know. Of course we don't have to organize something for all of their birthdays if there's a lack of interest, but this information is still valuable to the thread.

I used to think that all vtubers were just dumb thots trying to use virtual avatars to cash in on the 2D market, but after seeing the vidya selection of some of these streamers I've come to realize that some of them are just autists like you or me, using a 2D persona to avoid being stomped into the dirt for being a woman just long enough to prove their worth. I mean, Monster Hunter, Gothic 1, Fable 1, Harvester, that's some primo shit. Your average airhead wouldn't bother to even figure out how to run those games, let alone play them.
