In case "it blows" and everything in the SCS goes sideways, the CN goverment is actually at a loss because of the one child policy meaning any dead soldier means a completely severed family tree if said soldier had no kids, and no quick replacements ready, which could lead to interal instability QUICKLY, that's why they have not jumped Taiwan yet, there's a lot to lose, also there' already a demographic collapse so losing more men and possible kids even after the 1 child policy has been lifted means that right now, any sort of military action, unless swift and effective will derivate into a potential collapse scenario for their country.
The worst is not losing people, but China suddenly getting export banned EVERYWHERE, including the states, Europe, and most of Asia, where do you even get money from if you can't ship shit?. from nowhere, and suddenly you are the Soviet Union while fighting the Arabs and will fall almost if not into 3rd world category in less than 20 years after being defeated either by CIA funded insurgents or by a coalition.
