Today i decided to up the stakes. There is a particular combo i been struggling with since almost release. No matter what i do,i drop it in matches. I decided to even skip a few steps and i still dropped it.
Clearly i had to bring up the big guns.
As i said before, i been trying doing ice baths for inflammation but since i dont have a bathtub its just a bucket for my feet.This is a painful experience for the most part, but if you stay still eventually you make a layer of heat surrounding your body, and the cold doesnt hurt anymore. You need to move so it hurts, and you want it to hurt.
I normally do it post physical training to aid my feet muscles recover but this time i did it while practicing the combos still.
Every time i failed the combo, i deliberately moved, eliminating the heat layer, and bringing in the pain.Basically i got a cold shock every time i fucked up. Suddenly i was afraid of fucking up, and the fear itself made me perform better.

if you look, you are not going to find move, we dont want to admit as a society that "letter enters with blood" and that most of our learning systems are enhanced by pain because they were made to avoid pain in the first place.

There is the issue of course that self inflicted pain is an entirely different animal than just plain pain, but when pain is self inflicted is usually also beneficial in other ways ( think of lifting) but it remains to see what are the effects

In any case i am still dropping the combo anyway but the results wont actually show after a deep rest according to usual neuroplasticity. We will see tomorrow if the pain was worth it.
