From what I've gathered, the problem is OffKai not hiring real staff. Most of their staff are just college kids who volunteered and are getting paid pennies on the dollar to do this for the weekend.
Quite a few of them don't even really know what they're actually doing, some of them even telling me wrong information

someone told me there were several staff members holding up signs in front of each event with the name and time on it, but if there were I didn't see them

I think the actual organizers of the event used the money they got from sponsors and last year to splurge on the location and then decided to go the cheap route for staff and equipment bringing over much of the same stuff they used last year which, while nice for a small convention of maybe 1-200 people like it was last year, isn't really suitable for however many are here now

I have a friend that doesn't know I live with my parents as well. We've been friends for over a decade now and still have yet to meet in person or share photos of each other.
Every time she suggests we meet I tell her this is a bad time because I'm swamped at work; if she wants to send me gifts I say mail gets stolen around my apartment complex; if she wants to get on call or play a game together I tell her my PC is acting up.
She probably knows and just doesn't care. Hopefully not though, I don't want her to know I'm unemployed and living with my parents.
I desperately want out, to delete my discord and just never look back. I've even tried a couple times and she always thought of a way I could keep it or told me to talk to support or something.
I cant even block her because she has my main email and potentially even more for all I know. That and we both play WoW together.
I'm basically just waiting for the day she reveals she knows I'm not who I say I am.
