Well yeah, you can start anywhere you want in any series and make it awful for yourself. Wanna read Harry Potter books like 7-3-4-6-2-5-1? Fuckin' go ahead, but what'd be dumb is saying others do the same like 'oh but they're self contained you skip some filler and you'll figure out what you missed anyway!'. While jojo is definitely not a series you can pick up anywhere, I guess there's an argument to be made it's not totally ruined by starting at 3 but
