I really doubt you want to be sitting there doing that for literally 15+ hours as a new player.

I'd say just enjoy the game at your own pace and play along with stronny at the quests. We still don't know what kind of method she'll be using. If she just has people feed her fish at barbarian village you will be able to pretty casually fish and cook, without members, and I think it'd make it more fun for you and make a small amount of money if you bother to bank them.
