There is nothing wrong with living your life in pursuit of happiness and good community, while also having a virtual wife who will treat you with unconditional kindness as part of a communal identity.
We used to worship the ancient Emperors as Gods, you know. Although most subjects never met their Emperor, or their King, or their Czar, they loved them as their fathers, and those rulers loved their subjects as their children.
Is it so different, so much worse than that? If anything, I would say this is a better version of the relationship between the masses and their Benevolent Ruler; one where the relationship is a voluntary one, and our rulers provide for us in concrete ways, rather than a vague sense of having your interest in their mind while working on matters of state.
