This is like saying that food science and psychology are disempowering because it makes us abdicate our ability to judge food for ourselves - true in some way, but it's actually possible and useful to approach something systematically instead of just making shit up.
There might be a objective moral truth out there, but it'd be delusional to claim that we know it. If there is any way to explore it (and there might not be, at least no verifiable one), we in fact have to still think for ourselves - using philosophy to explore what's right and wrong.
