Yeah. I think I should relegate it to one flashback a chapter unless the situation is very closely tied into it. I'm still experimenting with how and where I want flashbacks to be and what they contain. I want to give context while still leaving some things up to the readers imagination. It can be a bit of a tricky balance.

As in like it was confusing the way it was explained or that it needed more flourish to make it pop better? Or both?

I'm excited to finally give Botan and Balsa their due. In Act 2, when Botan will be flying solo for a while, her and Balsa will have a lot of room to play off each other so I hope that'll be as fun for you as for me.

I've been so fucking fatigued these past few days for some reason. Been itching to start writing a new series but my fucking lord it's like my energy is a black hole.

Good news is that today my energy is high. I'm just going to watch a few Hajime clips and then an episode of FWMC morning and I'll get working

I do have a plan for its weaknesses and counter measures in the future that will become clear later on. I just wanted to make sure this wasn't too much information dumped on the reader in an uninteresting way. You'll see in the next chapter, but Mel's power is playing into a theme with the over arching plot and it will have it's drawbacks.
