I thought her comments on the first song were interesting, how it was something she would have written now if she was just debuting. Could You Please RIP is a catchy song but it suffers from some early Mori-isms that she regrets and it's so far out ahead of anything else in listens that she feels kind of trapped with it (Common for musicians). So I wonder if this new song is what she wants people to have as a first impression of her stuff, like this is the song she will say "Show this to your friends."

On a similar note I've been thinking about Holy Shitto and how well it probably would have been received if it came out in 2020. With the lesser enthusiasm from it being the drama at the time and everyone being able to say "We know you can do better than that". Though I still do like the song.

I will always love the synth and background choir in Cruel Angel's Thesis. It's the fucking best.

It doesn't add up for how she would be born like that and mature. How can they originally be a skeleton and also grow up with a human form? Or how she can age to a certain point and stop to look eternally young? It's definitely a choice since not every Reaper does it. I'm confused now...

For Mori specifically, I like the idea that her human form came from someone beautiful she reaped in antiquity. Choosing that person's look to live on.

Took a few days away from vtubers to watch the real world stuff. Glad to see Mori's back, looking forward to spending a night hearing her chat.
Plus a new song from IRyS, sounds good with her flexing her range but I hope she is given some more control/knowledge regarding her own songs.

I think that was a time of introspection for her. Not sure how much she wanted to be herself and how much she wanted to make up a character. Also this was early on when, we now know, people she had considered friends were starting to show true colors. That was another blow to her where she questioned if she did something wrong.

To me, it seems like she always was a well-balanced individual and her single biggest problem was not realizing it herself. Amplified by having a few bad people around her, who she knew were using her and who she was using. Everything she's said on stream for the end of a life lyric dive stuff. Now, it's much better for her in every area. She's improved as an artist and as a friend, and her friends like her for her.

Slowly getting adapted to a nocturnal schedule. Pain of missing streams and VODs is lessening. One more day and I can enjoy some time off and no better way to do that than some Mori & Milky karaoke, very excited for it.
I miss the NEET being able to do whatever/whenever but I don't want to dwell on that. Maybe it will leas to better things and find a dream to follow.

That's why people can't make direct comparisons between streamers. They're different people and will react differently.
Mori knew she didn't respond well to feeling like she failed, so she's taken steps to avoid it. As many Deadbeats supported her in doing. If there's still an issue then at least she can be proud and say "I prepared as best as I could, we'll work through it."
That does make me wonder, what happened during her audition? Whatever she had planned didn't work so she had to improvise. It's a skill she has but does not like to use.

No one has a right to know every single detail of any of their lives. They share a lot to begin with. Anyone getting upset that there's vagueness is being unreasonable. Not that anyone in these threads has, we've all had fun making up absurd reasons.
Whatever Mori had going on the past week, she will explain to the extent she feels is needed. The one tweet a lot of people went looking at for more context caused worry, until she herself realized how it could have sounded and reassured people.

Mori is learning to say "No." both to taking on more work and in rejecting a rejection from Cover. If they hesitated on releasing this song, she had another way to do it. Had she done that, I don't think anyone (other than the rrat peddlers) would have been upset. It's better that both sides mutually agree "We're not doing it this way" so they can end the issue- song gets released on the other side, Mori has other stuff for Cover. No problem.
Better than where it's like Pekora or Marine where a big project being denied results in sadness because a "No" to them is firmer when they lack another outlet.

Regardless of what happened in the past, Mori please believe in yourself and never stop. We're past the mountaintop. You're on course for the stars. Hell, someone even named one after you.

I've thought Mori (and Reapers in general) are not omnipotent or all-knowing, they have no reason to be. They simply see when a life is destined to end and bring the soul to where it needs to go. They don't need to see the future or other timelines.
Mori would know something is off because a date does not match up. Either it's past due or it's so far into the future it cannot be happening. Mori is not confrontational, I could see her trying to sit down and reason with Amelia that "Look, it's not because you're a bad person or something. You're not going to Hell and the people you care about will keep your memory alive." that's when Watson drops the "You don't understand. There will be no one else if you don't let me stop this!"
After some convincing and showing proof, Mori is worried enough to go to Death and go "Uh Sensei, we might have a problem." she then gets permission to let one life continue because it may mean saving everyone. What's the point of a Reaper, a being that maintains balance of life and death, if some other entity smashes that scale?

I listened to the EP again with headphones on this time and without any other distraction. All four of the songs are so good! How does she keep doing this? Each time I think I decided which one was my favorite, a reason to say it's another comes into my mind.

Cursed Night is a really good song, I didn't fully realize it at the time. Musically it's solid and as Mori expressing herself it is beautiful.
Being the first of her monthly releases and around Halloween, I expected something really amped up and fun, instead it was her opening up about how everything was affecting her. It's when I really started to realize what kind of person was behind the music (coinciding with me getting into the other stuff after initially saying I didn't care about knowing more because "I want to respect her privacy" but music is put out there to be heard.)
