Anon if it's her first time experiencing sudden loss and one of a very close friend at that, that sort of hurt can take a while to get over, and I genuinely hope it's not something you have to experience if you haven't had to suddenly get your emotions jerked around in such a scenario. Having to deal with that realization that there were things you never said, were going to say but can't now, etc., everyone comes to terms with it at a different pace.
