Well that's the latest chapter. I'm actually pretty impressed. I'm genuinely pretty invested, world's interesting enough, and nobody feels too out of character. I can suspend my belief enough to think "Oh, they'd act like this if they lived in a world like this and were born into these circumstances," while still being recognizably them. I'll keep up with this.
