When referring to the Hologirls, either in context or by the greenest of the newfags, sometimes they call them "idols", and very rarely they do it unironically or out of the "sing and dance" context.

Your initial point was that the fandom refers to "vtubers" (even from other agencies) as "idols" interchangeably. They don't. Drop this point.
