You know, now that I listen tot the lyrics more closely (and with the context gracefully provided by anons last thread), isn't this exactly the same kind of cringe as the 4kids rap opening? I mean, it's also generic sentiments about the future and protecting the world peppered with character namedrops. And if so, why did the 4kids opening get memed on this much?
I guess the Japanese have an entirely different notion of cringe or something like that.
