You know /mep/, Moriji has a big fleet that we enjoy patrolling around the Holosea, hunting schizo scum and pirate rabble. Once you hash out this Royal Navy of yours (however long that takes, no rush), it would be nice if we could formalize some inter-navy protocols, stuff like sharing knowledge of criminals in the area, allowing the arrest of those criminals in each other's territorial waters, making resupplying in each other's harbor straightforward. No alliance or anything like that, just standing alongside one another against the schizo threats of the Holosea. Such deals with /kfp/ have been very beneficial to both.

Some of those points are debatable, but not too far off from what I believe.
People express love in very different ways, and people can be more 'selfish', reserved or close-minded than others on the matter, sometimes at pivotal moments in their relationships and while not meaning to cause any harm, accidentally cause near irreparable damage due to negligence.
I truly belive Mori cares for Kiara as an incredibly good friend, but there was an obvious disconnect after she left Japan, and Mori legitimately buried herself into her own work (particularly the Birthday Ep), becoming too wrapped up in her own projects to notice Kiara struggle to re-adapt to Austrian (streaming) life for the first few weeks, which must have hurt. While this emotional vacuum eventually mended thanks to more vigilant people behind the scenes, we can only speculate how much Mori was involved, but it seems like by the time she realized what had happened, Kiara had moved on without her.
Generally speaking though, it's a much healthier option for Kiara to find other ways to adapt to her new life by becoming more reliant on irl friends, family, and even her cats, but this still left a bitter aftertaste to her relationship with Mori, who was a big dummy with the mentality of a Shonen protagonist and took WAY too long to figure out there was a general issue with their friendship before it was too late.
She's definitely compensating by trying to be as nice as possible with Kiara, support all of her endeavors and also literally going out of her way to see her and try to reconnect yes, I consider going to another country even if it's on the same continent as your OTHER activities a significant effort, which may not be enough for Kiara to reconsider her a romantic partner, but with enough time, she may see her as an equally close friend.
They seem friendly again and still close in other ways, but just weren't good romantic partners, on or off stream, so I'm happy with what they have now.
All of that being said, their artwork is always fantastic, and the concept of an eternal Phoenix and Death being romantically involved is such a kino idea, I'll never srop posting them together.
