While it's true there are lolicons who are actually pedophiles, most lolicons are into lolis due to the nature of lolis. Lolis are often portrayed as idealized characters with a stereotyped appearance and an a unrealistic cute and perfect behavior that you will never find in an actual real human child. Not to mention, a lot of lolis are legal lolis. And for fuck sake if you want to argue about the legality of "age", people are fapping to Kitagawa Marin from My Dress Up Darling series who's officially 15 years old (pic related).
The only issue why lolis are so hated by moralfags because lolis looks like "children" and it's universally agreed that children are beings that need to be protected, that's why by denouncing lolicons, it's really easy for moralfags to gain moral high ground.
Just remember to differentiate fiction and reality.
