This is just such a dumb reason that only willful retards would buy into, its why the ship hasn't died yet. Just need to look at the Matsuri and Luna relationship on how to actually kill a ship, Matsuri admits they had a fight but have made up with each other enough to participate in collabs that has the other in. Its also why the Hoshi no Kanata has been gradually dying since there's more solid points of there having been some conflict going on with the Mariokart shit. Meanwhile PekoMiko seemed like were having fun and enjoying each other in their last collab before suddenly going on radio silence with no clear reason as to why. It doesn't have to be the rape accusation, they just needed to have said they had a fight and then made up by doing a group collab, showing that they are still on good terms but won't be as chummy with each other. Though not really seen as a couple, another example you could use is the Haachama and Matsuri drama, both just did a collab together and apologized for a "misunderstanding" in conflict.
