It's not that much that it is not reflecting actual mouth movements. I tried to think about it and it's mostly because her closed mouth is grinning a bit too much and the animation when she opens her mouth underlines the effect.
If I compare it with some artwork, the mouth of her model should be wider or have a more neutral expression, like it's drawn often on some (official) 2D art.
