Are you keeping a close eye on your clips? My clips that go over the time limit get silently removed without any sort of notification. I can tell because if you label your clips the number next to each label doesn't go down when a clip gets removed. My "funny" label has 50 clips under it, but if I go through and look there's not even 4 full pages (12 clips to a page)
