No shade perceived at all, there can be a few different emblems. This symbol is more to represents /morig/ than Mori herself besides, not sure what Mori herself's sigil would look like, maybe as you say. Or maybe the proof of Deadbeat logo? It's her initials, after all.
The paramilitary branch of /morig/ has a skull as an emblem actually, though it's the design from the shirt.
