My fuwamoco blanket arrived today. Icomochi's art of them is so cute, and it's really soft too. I missed both Kanon streams, so I'm gonna get wrapped up in the blanket and marathon the watch along this weekend.

Basically instead of making studio time available for 1 Birthday 3D and 1 Anniversary 3D they now let them do 1 3D thing of their choice (Birthday by default) and have 1 Gen-wide Anniversary event managed directly by Cover.
They can still do separate 3D Projects aside from that, but as usual those need to be greenlit and will be evaluated on a case by case basis - Hoshimatic Project was one of those organized and produced by Suisei if you want a recent example.

This effectively removes like 50 "mandatory" 3D Events every year to make room for more unique projects while also lightening the load on talents all around, since quite frankly a lot of those guest appearances in a dozen different Anniversary Lives every year were mostly out of obligation and carry a HUGE timecost for the girls with all the practice and recording sessions.
This isn't a bad thing, it gives everyone more freedom and time to do what they are actually passionate about.
