I have some projections about the future of Map 3.0
Because it will have proper scaling, it means we would have:
>A. Microstates & City-States
If any minor thread (appears once a couple months) want to have a place on the map, they can have a small bit of land without internationally affecting existing status-quo of their neighbours.
Additionally, if any existing thread want to found city-states/microstates for lore reasons, then they would have enough room pull off a Vatican/Malta/Lesotho
>B. More complex borders
With enough room to draw, and physical features like coasts, inlets, islands, rivers, lakes that are more stands out more, lets just say that borders will get more autistic.
Some potential borders include:
-exclaves and enclaves
-panhandles
-autistic borders like the Gambia just squeezing through a single valley or Transnistria hiding in-between two nations
-colonial/planned/non-natural straight borders
I have high hopes this will increase the creativeness of border designs ten folds.
