Some advice, use DDIM, res above 704 on both (I do 832x1216 but you can do anything as long as it's above that), use e621 tags when you can (not 100% necessary as they share a lot, but for consistency).

It depends on the artist, if you are trying a combo or artist and see something that doesn't fit (like skin too shiny, too 3D etc.etc) add those to the negative, it will help the overall look from my experience. Once thing I noticed to get a flatter look is to use "shiny skin" in the negative.
