Here's my new story, "The Girl of Emptiness". A horror/yandere tale of coming to an isolated Japanese mountain village with your wife and meeting Ninomae Ina'nis, the Priestess of the Ancient Ones. It's a 16 page beast of a short story, so get comfortable.

Obviously writing cute and comfy Ina as a yandere was quite the sharp change of character, so I tried to adapt as much of her personality as I could to create a feeling of a warm, pleasant girl that draws you in closer and closer until you're in too deep. I also packed the story with loads of little details, both fun and creepy, that warrant a close look. Anyway, I hope my prose still maintained good quality when I had to write so much more than I'm used to! There's probably some polish issues, but I hope you have fun. (you) are an agent at a shadowy branch of government that deals with containing anomalous individuals. Most are captured and brought to the site, and a rare few surrender and are brought in willingly.

Though nobody onsite knows how she got here, a girl has appeared in one of the cells. Her name is Ninomae Ina'nis. She has requested an interview with you by name. Here is "An Imperfectly Perfect Meeting With Ina"
"Oh, what's this? You shouldn't be out this late. That's when people like me come out to play."

These are the words uttered that break the silence as you walk home late at night. They are called out from behind you with playful confidence as a girl strides out from the shadows into the dim streetlight. Her outfit is incredibly elaborate, but at the same time there isn't very much of it. It strikes you as something an especially daring female cosplayer would wear, but normally cosplayers don't approach random strangers at night. You raise your eyes in confusion as she steps closer, her face coming into view. Aside from her knee length hair flowing hypnotically behind her as she moves, she has two prominent…lobes(?) at either side of her head that seem to come from her hair.

"I am Ninomae Ina'nis, Priestess of the Ancient Ones. And you are…"

She steps forward and whispers your full name into your ear. Your eyes go wide, and she lets out a satisfied giggle.

"No earthly truth is outside of my reach thanks to their whispers. Now, we should get out of here. I was joking about there being other people like me here, but there are monsters about. I closed the rip they were coming through, but there are likely some stragglers. Come with me."

You walk along with her, and despite the danger she described, she smiles contentedly and stares out into the night, occasionally glancing to you. She explains that she has a warded location nearby where you will be safe. Out of the blue, she suddenly releases a cute (and quite loud) sneeze before covering her face.

"It's cold, okay? And priestess clothes are good at protecting against magic, but they've got no cold resistance…" She mumbles, barely at an audible volume. The ears (flaps?) at the top of her head seem to wiggle as if to express her displeasure. You smile slightly at the sight, which slips under her notice as she seems to be too embarrassed to look in your direction.
