If you like me just torrented it as a teen then congrats we both got this same bug. It a really prevalent one too, a lot of people complained about it. Most versions now are fixed I think but the game is still buggyyyyy. I remember, this was really frustrating but I was determined to play it. And replay it like 5 times over.
No good ending and meta-game fuckery sounds exactly like my cup of tea, I just never had people in my life drag me in them and didn't approach myself. Thank you! I should really try to start figuring them out, now with some motivation added.
