Of course, it works best if it's sprinkled in between games, but those games, I don't really give a shit which ones they are, as long as it isn't something as involved, yet boring to the viewer as ARK.
Minecraft, there's some stuff you can talk about there. Most games will either be interesting in and of themselves, or be good enough background for conversations with the viewers to be built on the foundation of the game. It's games like ARK that are exceptionally bad for this, I think; where they are both boring to the viewer, yet involved enough to require the streamer's heightened attention, which kills most attempts at a story or rambling talk.

Here me out because the fact that it's the Avatar TLA movie and not the show makes me interested in an idea.
I noticed before that some of the best watchalongs are of movies you can riff on, both with the chuuba doing so, and the threads. I also noticed that Hololive has a strange capacity to revive once-dead stuff a lot, from shitposts (nuggies-posting and that fucking period where deadbeats were rage comic posting) to abstract concepts and moods (KoroMiko A Way Out was just a revival of Super Best Friends in chuuba form somehow).
What I'm getting at is this: Hololive should revive the concept of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as a part of their regular retinue of streams.
It's literally free content that takes advantage of the best parts of both Hololive and MST3K. It's completely doable! They can even use the RiffTrax method they do right now, or for really old stuff that's in the public domain, straight up watchalong it!
There is no reason why they shouldn't do this. It's a perfect idea.
