As far as we know NAI didn't specifically target vtubers, but it's possible that they use something to improve character accuracy because it seems like the results are way too good compared to what you would expect from just regular old training. You can see similar inconsistencies as the one you mentioned with artists, NAI knows some artists with like 200-300 pics way better than others that have 500-600, but if a character has more than 100 pics (well maybe 150 now) you can expect NAI to be able to reproduce it pretty accurately
