Anon, you are making two mistakes here
1) to believe this is this collective consciousness called "/#/" that takes rational decisions
2) that people can be compelled to talk about thinks they don't want, or to stop talking about things they want

You are looking for an esoteric answer based on a false premise that "this thread" is something that exists, instead of just being an emergent behaviour from the collective of shitposters that post in this board

You are also failing to understand that the audience posting in the "numbers thread" grew massively. Back in 2021 this thread had two editions a day, with some anon making the one near the tally and this anon talking to you making the edition after EN primetime near the "Rushia slot".
Right now one of these threads is made in 2 hours to 4 hours, six to ten times a day.
It is no longer whatever the fuck comfy thread you remember from three years ago.
People continue talking about their favorite JP streams, their favorite EN streams and whatnot, it is just that you don't have the mental fortitude to filter all of the bait and noise around it to realize that.

Just talk about what you want to talk instead of "talking about talking".
