There's different kinds of rich, both in terms of attitude and income source.

-Highlights fiscal responsibility without coming across as stingy
-Provides reward center activation through both the act of cooking and the act of eating, which will be associated with you
-Lets guardians watch & participate without being perceived as a nuisance
Oh and specifically to her she doesn't cook very well so that'd be an added wow factor for both her parents and her.
