As a rule of thumb, if you can't freely be a racist sexist nationalist bigot who denies your race's war crimes while cracking jokes about fucking teenage girls, then your culture is too "no fun allowed" for anyone in it to be legitimately funny. This is why healthy kingdoms with good kings allowed the court jesters complete immunity from execution, as they otherwise wouldn't be able to effectively entertain people. Standout indies will still succeed like popular streamers do. But I don't think the future market can support agencies or leeches like the Japanese streaming ecosystem can, no when they have to tiptoe around offending people to avoid bad PR. Western misandrist puritans and anti-puritans are literally bugmen themselves, and the future success of en chubas depends entirely on whether or not they're not crushed and expelled from polite society. If they're not, Hololive EN will probably go the way of Hololive CN.
