The way I see it, it comes down to DCL as a song sounding like a more emotional story to listen to, whereas LMU focuses on being an upbeat idol song. I don't think there's anything wrong with the direction. I'd probably get worn out if every Lazulight orisong was cheesy and sentimental, this one leaned more into the cheesy and cute.
The MV itself had some cute parts. Picrel was a nice touch. It would be nice if Lazulight handled their songs on their own like how some groups in the JP branch do it, but I'm wary of EN management... I'm sure the girls did what they could.
