Brand recognition is probably a part of it. Pako, Kuroboshi, and Wada are all well-known FGO artists, for instance. As for the good mamas, on paper, the StarsEN mamas SHOULD be good mamas, but they fumbled hard.

I can see this being the case. For example, look at Sana's artist. Pako, the artist of some of the most beloved characters in FGO. He designed Oda Nobunaga, Karna, and Arjuna for goodness' sake. And then Sana happened somehow.
