Tomboy has never really meant a style of dress to me. My mom is 65 and she's always been a tomboy but she doesn't dress in like, boy clothes or anything. She likes to wear make up and dresses, and all that, but growing up she was into sports and physical activities, etc. Same now.

Aerith and Tifa are good examples. Aerith is the outgoing, shows her feelings, cute Tomboy despite being overly girly and wearing a dress and make up. Tifa is shy, reserved, somewhat muscular, dressed in very little, is a martial artist, and is the sensitive girly girl emotionally.
