kuromaru made a small demo and showed it off on twitter. even back before hololive, the Roboco model was originally concepted for a video game.

I might be going crazy, but does Roboco have an outfit in which she has an eyepatch, or was it only present in her original concept art?

I don't think her boobs ever changed.
Roboco was originally concepted as a player character for a shoot'em up game kuromaru9 was working on.
This could also explain why she has so many customizations, because the model was made in a certain way.
And as others have said, the model has been around since about a year before Sora debuted. But art of her goes back further.

There is a video of gameplay but I keep losing track of it, I'll send it here if i find it again.

So what exactly is the deal with kuromaru9, Cover, and Roboco? kuromaru9 has been drawing Roboco since at least 2013, and had made a 3D model of her by 2016, both well before her debut as a vtuber.
