Decided to give him a dip in a bath with lots of dawn soap. He was MUCH better behaved this time and actually allowed me to scrub him down (mostly). All the fleas on his face seem dead and I don't see any more living fleas on him elsewhere. I put the flea collar back on for good measure and tomorrow, I will give him another flea bath and treat him with diatomaceous earth (which, according to what we found online is another good flea treatment). I can see why cats hate bathing, they are pitiful looking creatures when they are wet, lol. I gave him some treats for his trouble. These fleas will be genocided, just like the worms who tried to kill him when I first rescued him were.
