No they are not. Subs and views numbers doesn't make Cover the biggest Vtuber company in Japan. By that logic, if Pewdiepie decide to open a streaming company, his company will be the largest youtuber company in the world. Nijisanji is still the biggest in Japan in term of members and staff.

Nijisanji have been drowned in sponsorship way before Hololive is known. Even now they still have more sponsors than Hololive. There was the Konami sponsored Bomberman tournament. There is the Shueisha sponsored manga stream. A collaboration with Shibuya Tsutsuya. And there are always loads of #PR streams for smaller games going on. If you want to go back into the month then you have MSI sponsored streams, Genshin sponsored streams. Some Nijisanji characters were licensed for use on food products in the Nijibara show. There were Nijisanji members in a big Momotetsu event Konami hosted. I think there was some mobile game that had Nijisanji collab characters in it too. And there is Lenovo sponsorship, and ongoing Google sponsorship.

So, it's not Hololive become biggest. It just they finally catch up with Nijisanji.
