Absolutely, if written with it in mind from the get-go, the idea can work no doubt. The question is then what's the initial relationship between (You) and Suisei like and how soon does she show her hand? It's hard to say since Suisei is such an aromantic on camera. A childhood friend relationship would work. Or you can make it a bit of a comedy fic and have Suisei flip it immediately. Honestly, a fic where Suisei is an unhinged goofball at her boyfriend sounds like a lot of fun.
